Other OpenAI-compatible tools
Use the gateway in any tool with an OpenAI base URL setting, such as n8n.
Many tools take an OpenAI API key and let you change the base URL. Point them at the gateway with three values:
| Setting | Value |
|---|---|
| Base URL | https://code.test.indicia-ai.com/v1 |
| API key | Your token, ic_... |
| Model | A model class such as indicia/snel, or a direct model from GET /v1/models |
The tool then calls /v1/chat/completions,
which fails over across providers when the model is a class. For tools that take an Anthropic base URL
instead, use the bare host, https://code.test.indicia-ai.com, and a Claude
model id.
Use a service token for unattended jobs
Workflows that run without you, such as n8n or a cron job, should use a service token with its own limits. Its usage shows up under the token's label.
n8n
Create an OpenAI credential
In n8n, create an OpenAI credential. Set API Key to your token and
Base URL to https://code.test.indicia-ai.com/v1.
Use it in a node
Select the credential in an OpenAI node, such as OpenAI Chat Model, and
choose a model id such as indicia/snel.
Check the settings
To check a base URL and token before you add them to a tool, list the models:
curl https://code.test.indicia-ai.com/v1/models \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $INDICIA_TOKEN"A 401 means the token is wrong. See Errors for the other
codes.
